Furman Names Richie Meade Men’s Lacrosse Coach



Furman University director of athletics Dr. Gary Clark announced today that U.S. men’s national senior team coach Richie Meade has been named the school’s first men’s head lacrosse coach. Lao-Gosneys Make Movie Debut in Crooked Arrows Premiering Tonight

Lehigh midfielders Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney played key roles in the lacrosse movie Crooked Arrows, which opens in select theatres on Friday (May 18). The twins were both part of the Coventry team, the prep school which the Crooked Arrows play. No. 8 Virginia Advances Past No. 12 Princeton to the NCAA Quarterfin​als, 6-5



A fourth quarter goal from Chris Bocklet via Steele Stanwick proved to be the difference as the No. 8 Virginia Cavaliers (12-3) outlasted the No. 12 Princeton Tigers (11-5) on Sunday afternoon during the NCAA First Round, 6-5, inside Klöckner Stadium. The six goals by UVa is the lowest number of scores for the Cavaliers in an NCAA win and the 11 total goals between the two teams tied for the fifth-fewest ever in an NCAA Tournament game, four other games are tied for first with 10 total goals. Acton Scores 80 yard Snipe As The Greyhounds Go On To Win ECAC Championship

DENVER – Loyola University Maryland used an 8-1 run that spanned three quarters to take control of the ECAC Championship Game, and the third-ranked Greyhounds defeated No. 16 Fairfield University, 14-7, to claim the league crown at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Ratliff Scores OT Winner To Lift Men’s Lacrosse To ECAC Title Game

DENVER – Scott Ratliff picked up the ground ball off the opening faceoff in overtime, raced down the right side of the middle of the box and sent a high-to-low shot past University of Denver goalkeeper Ryan LaPlante to lift the third-ranked Greyhounds to a 14-13 win in the ECAC Semifinals on Wednesday night. Syracuse Hosts Princeton For First Time Since 2008
