The project was for the girls programs from U-9 to U-15. They wanted some custom dyed heads to spruce up the goalie position. Read More...

No Gut, No Glory

By Lacrosse Playground | October 6, 2011 |
When I wrote my last article on putting together and Old School/New School stick, I mentioned that it would be interesting to try one. Mission accomplished, and the new gut string can be seen in the header image. It’s not obvious at first glance, so you may have to squint. But there it is, twisted around the top of the lacing from side to side, course, slightly translucent. Read More...

Los Banditos Dye Job, Uniform

By Lacrosse Playground | September 28, 2011 |
A fellow laxer, M. Britt, and I started discussing the concept of doing a Banditos theme for the indoor team that he plays on. My only comment about them is don't get in a shootout with anyone rocking those unis. Anyways, Britt sent me over a bunch of images that Striker Danger was working with in order to do there uniforms and I got to work. Read More...

One of the current players at Georgetown Prep got up with me to discuss a new dye for him and with a little discussion on the color variation and a recent pattern I came across we came up with this. Digital Camouflage Dye by Max McCool

By Lacrosse Playground | August 30, 2011 |
The Digital Camo dye job has been a long time coming for me. It has been done before by patient people with steady hands. I wanted to do my own take on it, and it took me a long time to do it exactly how I wanted to. To begin, I created a design on the computer in the shapes of various digital camo pieces. Read More...

Halo Hot Glue Dye Job

By Lacrosse Playground | August 29, 2011 |
A friend talked to me awhile back about doing a Halo themed head. This wasn't anything too crazy but I felt good about it. I wouldn't mind some input for some addtional ideas for a second Halo theme. This one as you can see was simple in the fact that it was the camo "style pattern" (as I call it) and involved three different shades of green: Lime, Kelly, and Forest. Read More...

49KingDyes North Carolina Theme Dye

By Lacrosse Playground | August 25, 2011 |
A fellow "Man for Others" (Georgetown Prep Grad) got in touch with me awhile back about doing a UNC themed dye job for him. I started with the White Nike 2010 Legacy and began placing the stripes and doing the most difficult part, which is cutting out the "NC." I have done the tar heel logo before and it's fairly simple, however, the "NC" always causes me problems in getting the ratio correct. Read More...
