Dyeing
This past weekend I was given a fresh new Chrome head courtesy of @Smittylax and I was able to produce this beauty. It was originally a straight Chrome Evo Pro 2.0 and now its a work of art.
For this episode of Lax County Choppers the guys at Stylin Strings trick out their first pro sponsored stick. Jake Byrne won 2 national championships at Hopkins and now plays on the LXM Pro tour. Jake contacted SS with an idea of an Irish theme with an inside out type dye.
A goalie came to me asking to dye his Brine Money goalie stick with a tiger stripe theme. He wanted the colors on the head to be Orange and Black and I immediately had the final product pre visualized in my head. I wanted a Bright Orange underneath a Dark Black. This dye job is fairly simple, with a ferocious outcome!
I have seen a lot of Rasta Dye jobs and wanted to do one of my own with a little marble twist. This is a pretty simple dye job that you could do at home and is not too time consuming.
I was contacted by Hopkins middie John Ranagan to come up with a fresh dye for him during Hopkins run at the tournament. He was really into the camo style that I did for him previously so I wanted to keep that theme in the new one but add a new element: the White out.
Team Red, White & Blue is playing in an upcoming tournament and asked if I could dye a couple heads with the logo and the theme of the website, www.teamrwb.com. The pattern originated with a simple White out design with the logos cut out on the inside of the head.
I was recently invited to play in the Goals for Good game again this year to help raise money for the Alzhiemer's Association. So this year to help out as much as I could I decided to dye two Maverik Bull heads and have them auctioned off to raise money for the cause.
I was recently asked to dye a Maryland Steamers themed head. This one wasn't going to be anything too crazy and it actually turned out looking better than I had anticipated.
I was asked to dye a Baltimore Ravens themed goalie head for a friend. Looking back I wish I had done the flag in the the traditional colors. Learn as you go. Keep Reading...
