Ohio State Upsets No. 5 Denver 10-9 in Jacksonville

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The No. 5 University of Denver men’s lacrosse team fell 10-9 to the Ohio State Buckeyes on Sunday afternoon at EverBank Field, home to the NFL’s Jacksonville Jaguars, in the first game of the Moe’s Southwest Grill Classic, hosted by Jacksonville University. The loss drops the Pioneers to 0-1, 0-1 ECAC while the Buckeyes improve to 3-0, 1-0 in the ECAC. Read More…

ECAC Preseason Coaches’ Poll and Awards

CENTERVILLE, Mass. (Feb. 7, 2012) — In a vote conducted by conference coaches, the Denver Pioneers have been selected to defend their Eastern College Athletic Conference Lacrosse League Championship in 2012 as the top team in the ECAC pre-season coaches’ poll. Led by pre-season ECAC Offensive Player of the Year Mark Matthews, Denver opens the season at Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., against Ohio State in the Moe’s Southwest Grill Lacrosse Classic on Feb. 19.
