Six Pioneers Named ECAC Academic All-Conference



CENTERVILLE, Mass. – Six University of Denver men’s lacrosse student-athletes were named to the Eastern College Athletic Conference Lacrosse League Academic All-Conference team for the 2012 campaign, Commissioner Rudy Keeling announced on today. Redshirt sophomore Drew Babb (Centennial, Colo.), sophomore Matt Kramer (Littleton, Colo.), juniors Eric Law (Centennial, Colo.) and Kyle Hercher (Littleton, Colo.), and seniors Henry Miketa (Fort Collins, Colo.) and Patrick Rogers (Portland, Ore.) were among 43 total student-athletes throughout the league that maintained a minimum 3.20 cumulative grade-point average. Ratliff Scores OT Winner To Lift Men’s Lacrosse To ECAC Title Game

(Feb. 7, 2012) — In a vote conducted by conference coaches, the Denver Pioneers have been selected to defend their Eastern College Athletic Conference Lacrosse League Championship in 2012 as the top team in the ECAC pre-season coaches’ poll. Led by pre-season ECAC Offensive Player of the Year Mark Matthews, Denver opens the season at Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Fla., against Ohio State in the Moe’s Southwest Grill Lacrosse Classic on Feb. 19.
