The ACC Men’s Lacrosse Championship – showcasing four of the league’s six teams, which are ranked in the top 10 – will begin with semifinal action on ESPNU and WatchESPN on Friday, April 25, from Chester, Pa. The play of the weekend that is getting all of the attention is Carolina’s Joey Sankey hanging up a Hopkins defender and standing behind the cage for two minutes without getting a timer-on situation. It sparked a firestorm from some vocal advocates of a shot clock, praise from others and questions from more as to why this was not a stall, but Virginia was given a timer-on the very next day. CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – This May, Jalbert Productions and Little Brother of War Entertainment is bringing fans an all-access look into the Virginia men’s lacrosse program in two different 30-minute episodes. “There And Back,” built in the documentary mold of HBO’s “Hard Knocks,” debuts on Tuesday, May 8 on ESPNU at 6:30 p.m. The second and final 30-minute episode will be televised May 9 on ESPNU in the same 6:30 p.m. time slot. The regular season for men’s college lacrosse winds down this weekend as the BIG EAST, Ivy League and America East hold their conference championships. Action begins on ESPNU with the semifinals of the first-ever BIG EAST Men’s Lacrosse Championship on Thursday, May 3, with No. 2 Notre Dame facing St. John’s at 4:30 p.m. and No. 19 Villanova hosting No. 18 Syracuse at 7 p.m. The BIG EAST Championship final will air Sunday, May 5, at noon, on ESPNU.
