BALTIMORE – No. 10 Johns Hopkins (6-2) scored nine goals in a row to pace the Blue Jays’ 15-8 triumph over the No. 10 Virginia Cavaliers (5-4) on Saturday afternoon, inside M&T Bank Stadium. Not only did the Blue Jays win the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic, but also won the quest for the Doyle Smith Cup for the third year in a row. Johns Hopkins used an efficient offense in the first half and a dominating face-off effort in the second half to defeat UMBC, 16-5, in the Konica-Minolta Face-Off Classic played before 17,057 fans at M&T Bank Stadium.
Stephen Keogh (Toronto, Ontario) scored with 2:19 left to play in overtime to lift No. 1 Syracuse (4-0, 1-0) to a 9-8 victory over Georgetown (2-3, 1-1) at the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic at M&T Bank Stadium. The goal was Keogh's fourth of the day.
