Starting in 2015, a visible clock can be used to time the 30-second stalling segment in facilities capable of displaying the clocks. All Division I men’s lacrosse programs will be required to have the clocks displayed by the 2016 season, and Division II and Division III will be required to have visible clocks by the 2017 season. A ruling that had banned the use of the “motorcycle” grip on faceoffs in men’s lacrosse has been reversed. After reviewing membership feedback, the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee retracted a decision made at its August meeting and decided to allow players to use the grip on faceoffs. The great fans of the National Lacrosse League will once again come together this summer to play the game they love, while raising money for charity. The 2012 Fann Cup, a lacrosse tournament of teams comprised of fans of the NLL, will be played on Saturday, July 28th in Minneapolis/St. Paul suburb of Blaine, Minnesota. A new opponent, a new opportunity, and a plethora of new naysayers are on the horizon. As has been the case since the days of my recruitment to Lehigh, though, the more that people predict us to lose, the more motivated (and more likely) we are to win. BALTIMORE CITY, MARYLAND - April 5, 2012 - FOGO Lacrosse announced their Summer Face-Off Camp schedule this week. Currently the schedule includes only two camps, both of which will be held in Maryland at the Gerstell Academy. FOGO Lacrosse will kick off the summer season with a camp to be held June 15th through June 17th, which will give previous campers and newcomers a chance to improve their technique prior to a summer presumably filled with recruiting camps and tournaments.
