Former All-American goalie and now currently serving in the Marines, Lt. Matthew Russell, presented the town of Madison with a flag which he flew over his base in Iraq this past 4th of July. Russell, a local lacrosse star, arranged to have an American Flag flown over the Phoenix Base in Iraq on behalf of Madison Youth Lacrosse. “It’s a very generous town for sure, a lot of people who didn’t even know what lacrosse is sure know what lacrosse is,” said Russell.
