Leopards Victorious in Double Overtime Thriller



HIGH POINT, N.C. – With the clock running out in the second session of overtime, freshman attack Kevin Wanke found an open spot behind the High Point defense and put his shot in the back of the net to lift the Lafayette men’s lacrosse team to a double-overtime victory over High Point on Wednesday evening, 10-9. HIGH POINT, N.C. – The High Point University men’s lacrosse team will open its first season on Feb. 2 against Delaware at Vert Stadium, as part of the Panthers’ 2013 schedule announced by head coach Jon Torpey on Monday. HPU will host seven games at Vert Stadium in its inaugural season. The Panthers open their fall slate on Oct. 6 at the Collelluri Classic in Philadelphia, Pa.
