Major League Lacrosse today held its 2013 Supplemental Draft, giving teams the opportunity to build out their 23-man protected rosters to a 40-man preseason roster. The draft consisted of 12 rounds and the Charlotte Hounds had nine picks, including the third overall. With that pick, the Hounds selected attackman Tim Desko, a 2012 graduate of Syracuse Univ. In 56 games with the Orange, Desko tallied 63 goals and 22 assists for 85 points. Read More…

The Charlotte Hounds snapped a four-game losing streak Saturday night, using a seven-goal fourth quarter to defeat the Ohio Machine 17-16 in front of a crowd of 2,269 at Selby Stadium in Delaware, Ohio. The Hounds (1-4) lost their second straight game, falling 18-17 to the Nationals (1-3) in front of a record crowd of 6,843 at American Legion Memorial Stadium in Charlotte. Joe Walters was named Bud Light Player of the Game for his eight point performance of four goals and four assists.
