If JHU doesn’t beat Maryland, then the team will secure its fate of possibly not making the NCAA Tournament. The Terps rolled over the Blue Jays twice last season. Two years ago Hopkins was able to come from behind in an electric game in Byrd Stadium to defeat the Hardshells. Read More…

No. 10 Johns Hopkins Tops No. 14 Virginia in Face-Off Classic



BALTIMORE – No. 10 Johns Hopkins (6-2) scored nine goals in a row to pace the Blue Jays’ 15-8 triumph over the No. 10 Virginia Cavaliers (5-4) on Saturday afternoon, inside M&T Bank Stadium. Not only did the Blue Jays win the Konica Minolta Face-Off Classic, but also won the quest for the Doyle Smith Cup for the third year in a row. The Loyola Men’s Lacrosse team stays true to its roots. This past week, the team received an enormous amount of support from Under Armour athlete and Baltimore Ravens legend Ray Lewis. Lewis has become famous off the field for his hair-raising speeches. Unlike Johns Hopkins, who had New England Patriots Head Coach Bill Belichick give a speech prior to this weekend’s NCAA Quarterfinal game, the Greyhounds sought inspiration from their backyard. ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Senior goalkeeper RJ Wickham (Penn Yan, N.Y.) turned away 18 shots, while sophomore attackman Sam Jones (Annapolis, Md.) pitched in three goals and an assist as the Navy men’s lacrosse team (6-6) dominated sixth-ranked Johns Hopkins (9-3), 8-2, Saturday afternoon at Navy-Marine Corps Memorial Stadium.
