The Cincinnati Queens women's post-collegiate lacrosse team proudly raised $2,000 for the One Love Foundation over the weekend at their One Love Playday in memory of Yeardley Love. The second annual event featured games between the Cincinnati Queens, CapCity Lacrosse, Xavier University and the University of Kentucky. Shuart Stadium to be part of the 4th Annual Women’s Nicholas Colleluori Classic. On August 15, 2008 Caroline (Care) Cranston, at 24 years old, was diagnosed with leukemia. In high school, Care played lacrosse for West Chester Henderson and continued her lacrosse career at Duquesne University. The Chesapeake Bayhawks are currently hosting a live auction through their eBay store. The auction features a number of specially Chromed Cascade Lacrosse helmets with Pink facemasks and autographs to boot. In early 2012, the Salt Shakerz and Warrior teamed up to create a custom pair of Warrior Riot gloves that were exclusive to the team. Long Island Lizards' Greg Gurenlian is donating salary earned during the Major League Lacrosse playoffs to Tim Goettelmann's organization, Monster's Kids. Monster's Kids helps children in need. In addition to Gurenlian donating his money earned, people are encouraged to pledge an amount of money for every face-off he wins.
