Winter Garden, FL- Three years ago Gary Bitz Jr., a young lacrosse player from Winter Garden, FL attended NCAA Championship Weekend in Baltimore, Maryland with his father. While visiting the fan fest at the Inner Harbor, Gary had the chance to learn about the HEADstrong Foundation and meet the Colleluori family. And while other kids his age were focused on checking out the latest gear and promotional items in the fan fest, Gary Bitz Jr. inspired by what he had just learned about the HEADstrong Foundation began brainstorming an event idea with the purpose of generating funds to support the organization. The great fans of the National Lacrosse League will once again come together this summer to play the game they love, while raising money for charity. The 2012 Fann Cup, a lacrosse tournament of teams comprised of fans of the NLL, will be played on Saturday, July 28th in Minneapolis/St. Paul suburb of Blaine, Minnesota. During the One World Lacrosse Climbs the Rockies fundraising event teams of one to five participants have the entire month of July to climb as many 14,000 ft. mountains as they can. One point is earned each time a team member summits a peak. Teams will send in pictures of themselves with the One World Lacrosse Flag at every summit. At the end of the month, the team with the most points wins and will receive a prize package including Adrenaline Movement gear, $100 Gift Certificate to Lax World, Gargoyle polarized sunglasses, Thailand Lacrosse apparel, the list goes on.
