Fort Drum Soldiers To Be Recognized At Army Lacrosse Game

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Soldiers from Fort Drum will be recognized at the Syracuse versus Army men’s lacrosse game on Sunday, Feb. 26 at the Carrier Dome. Syracuse Athletics has partnered with Operation Homefront (OH) Tri-State, a non-profit organization that provides emergency assistance to service members and Wounded Warriors, to distribute 600 tickets to soldiers and their families for Sunday’s game. Lt. Scott F. Milley Memorial Fund Lacrosse Game



On November 30th 2010, the lacrosse community lost one of its unsung heroes. Lt. Scott F. Milley (Lincoln-Sudbury ’05) was a lacrosse goalie as well as a captain of the L-S hockey team. Scott was killed by small arms fire while on foot patrol in Afghanistan. He was a member of the 2nd Battalion, 30th Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division whose mission was to develop meaningful, long-lasting relationships with the Afghani people.
