Lacrosse Highlights from Cabrini’s Win Over Union College, 12-8
RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men’s lacrosse team didn’t let eight day break from game competition affect its play, as the Cavaliers topped No. 16 Union College 12-8 today at Edith Robb Dixon Field. The nonconference improves the Blue and White to 4-3 on the season. The No. 13 Blue and White got a balanced scoring effort today, as six players found the back of the net. Sophomore Damian Sobieski led the club with a season high five points on three goals and a pair of assists. BALTIMORE – Justin Ward did not let driving rain and wind gusts of 40 miles per hour both his game on Tuesday night as the junior scored seven goals and had three assists in Loyola University Maryland’s 21-9 victory over visiting UMBC at Ridley Athletic Complex. Ward’s seven goals are the most by a Loyola player since Tim Goettelmann tallied that number against the University of Notre Dame in an NCAA First Round game that the Greyhounds lost, 15-13, on May 15, 2000. 2nd Annual Turkey Bowl, Sick Venue for an Outdoor Box Lacrosse Game (Video)
Webster Lacrosse Club (Upstate NY) hosted its 2nd annual alumni Turkey Bowl Lacrosse game. It’s played at Webster’s outdoor lacrosse box on Thanksgiving Day, which has a brand new state of the art electronic scoreboard. Both sets of box goalie equipment were donated by former Rochester Knighthawks goalie Pat “Tool Time” O’Toole.
