DiMaria to Join Cannons; Lao-Gosneys Enjoying Success in MLL



BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Following a stellar collegiate career, Lehigh senior David DiMaria will join his Major League Lacrosse team (Boston) on Saturday and suit up for its game against the Bayhawks. Lehigh alums Cameron and Roman Lao-Gosney are also enjoying early-season success for the Hamilton Nationals. DiMaria was selected in the sixth round (46th overall) by the Cannons in January’s Major League Lacrosse draft. He followed with his most impressive collegiate season, posting career highs in goals (33), assists (40) and points (73). The assist total was fourth in Patriot League history for a single season while his 73 points led the league and were fifth most all-time. Read More…

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh senior attackman David DiMaria has been named a Tewaaraton Award nominee, as announced late last week. He is one of only 25 players nationally named a nominee for the sport’s highest honor. DiMaria, senior Dante Fantoni and sophomore Matt Poillon were originally named to the watch list in February. Last weekend was a special one for the fourteen members of our senior class, as we were all honored for Senior Day versus Lafayette. Lafayette, as many of you know, is our rival, and we were looking to go 4-0 against them in our careers. BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore goalie Matt Poillon has been named Patriot League Goalie of the Year for a second straight season, while six others joined him as All-League honorees, as announced on Tuesday. Last Friday night was a huge win. With the Regular Season Championship on the line, we were able to pull out the win over a very talented Bucknell team. As “Clarity” was bumping in the locker room after the win, and everyone was jumping up and down, it finally hit me; we would be hosting the Patriot League Tournament for the first time in school history. This is one of many of the firsts that we have accomplished since I have been here, and this was quite the turn around from my freshman year when we didn’t even qualify for the Patriot League Tournament. Patriot League Tournament Tickets Now on Sale



BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Tickets for the Patriot League Men’s Lacrosse Tournament are now on sale, as Lehigh will host the league tourney for the first time in program history. The Semifinals are set for next Friday (Apr. 26) at 4:30 and 7:30 p.m. while the Championship Game will be played on Sunday (Apr. 28) at 3 p.m. All three games will air live nation-wide on CBS Sports Network.
