Detroit Mercy Lacrosse Lands 20 On 2011-12 MAAC Academic Honor Roll

EDISON, N.J. — The University of Detroit Mercy had the most members on the MAAC Lacrosse All-Academic Team back in May and once again, the Titans led the way in an academic category with 20 selections as the conference released its’ 2011-12 Academic Honor Roll. To be eligible for the MAAC Academic Honor Roll, an athlete must hold a grade point average of 3.20 or higher on a 4.0 scale. The Honor Roll is open to both full-time and associate members of the MAAC with athletes represented in all 24 sports that the conference sponsors. Read More…

It has been an exciting last three weeks. It began with the win over Quinnipiac, which propelled us into the first game of conference play at Canisius. The one aspect of NCAA athletics that has stood out to me the most is momentum, which happens to currently be on our side and unless the world ends tomorrow, I don’t see it leaving the Detroit Titans. We ended last season with a bitter taste in our mouths after a loss in the MAAC championship. The feeling following the buzzer signaling the end of the 4th quarter is one that we, as a team, have vowed never to forget. We have prided ourselves since the start of this young program to be “The Hardest Working” team in the country and this year more than any, we’re willing and ready to make that a reality. Read More…
