In August, the Marist community mourned the loss of Edward Coombs, a rising sophomore on the Men’s lacrosse team. Coombs, 19, lost his life in a car accident in his hometown of Horsham Township, Pa. Those closest to him called him Eddie and he was well-liked by everyone. Marist Men’s Lacrosse Names 2012 Captains


POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist men’s lacrosse team has named their captains for the upcoming 2012 season. Head Coach Keegan Wilkinson has announced that seniors Kevin Defranco (Shoreham, N.Y.) and Chris Harren (Wilmington, N.C.) will lead the team for a second straight season, joined by redshirt junior Evan Guarini (Long Valley, N.J.). Marist Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2012 Schedule

POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. – The Marist Athletics Department and men’s lacrosse head coach Keegan Wilkinson have released the schedule for the 2012 season. The Red Foxes, who finished the 2011 season at 8-7 and a third-place finish in the conference, will play an 11-game schedule, including six Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (MAAC) contests.
