SEATTLE, Wash. – The University of Denver men’s lacrosse team will face the University of Maryland at the Starfire Sports Campus in Tukwila, Wash., today at 2 p.m. PT in the first-ever Seatown Classic. WASHINGTON, D.C. – Maryland junior Katie Schwarzmann became the third Terrapin to win the Tewaaraton Award, given annually to the top player in women’s lacrosse, Thursday at the National Museum of the American Indian. For the first time since 1975, Virginia, Syracuse, or Johns Hopkins won’t be headed to the NCAA DI Final Four. The 2012 Final Four is not all new faces, however, as Maryland was in the Championship game last year and both Notre Dame and Duke have routinely made it to the last weekend in May over the last few years.
