BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Lehigh sophomore goalie Matt Poillon has been named Patriot League Goalie of the Year for a second straight season, while six others joined him as All-League honorees, as announced on Tuesday. Poillon and senior Mike Noone were named to the First Team while seniors David DiMaria, Brian Hess, Ryan Snyder, junior Ty Souders and sophomore Patrick Corbett garnered Second Team laurels. BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team was predicted first and three Mountain Hawks earned All-Patriot League laurels, as announced on the league’s media teleconference Wednesday morning. HAMILTON, N.Y. - The eighth-ranked and second-seeded Lehigh men’s lacrosse team put together one of its strongest offensive outbursts of the season, tying a season-high 16 goals to beat the #10 Colgate Raiders, 16-14 and win its first-ever Patriot League Tournament Championship on Sunday. The Mountain Hawks (14-2) jumped out to a 5-0 lead then held off a Raiders’ (12-3) charge to earn the league’s automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. To all my loyal readers out there, I apologize in advance if this isn’t my most in-depth post of the year. It’s been a busy week for our team (as they all are), and a midterm week for all Lehigh students on top of that. The obligations of being a “student-athlete” are never more demanding than in weeks like this. Studying becomes far more of a time commitment than even lacrosse for most. Poillon Earns Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - Just one game into his collegiate career, Lehigh freshman goalie Matt Poillon has earned Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. Poillon stopped 13-of-17 shots in the season opener at Saint Joseph’s Saturday, helping Lehigh to an 11-4 victory.
