Johns Hopkins Accepts Sport Affiliate Membership for Men’s Lacrosse in the Big 10


BALTIMORE, MD – Johns Hopkins University President Ronald J. Daniels announced today that the Blue Jay men’s lacrosse team has been accepted by the Big Ten Conference as a sport affiliate member. The announcement comes on the same day that the Big Ten announced the addition of men’s lacrosse as an official conference sport. Big Ten play is scheduled to begin during the 2015 season. ( – The Atlantic Coast Conference has honored four individuals as recipients of the 2013 ACC Men’s Lacrosse annual awards, announced Tuesday as voted on by the league’s four head coaches. Pat Ivory ’08 Returns to Saint Michael’s as Interim Men’s Lacrosse Head Coach

COLCHESTER, Vt. – Saint Michael’s College has hired Pat Ivory ’08 as the interim head coach of its men’s lacrosse team. A former four-year player and three-year assistant coach at the College, Ivory succeeds Brian Kingsbury, who left earlier this month to take the head coach position at Lynn (Fla.) University. In his three seasons as an assistant at Saint Michael’s, between 2009 and 2011, Ivory helped lead the Purple Knights to a 23-20 record, including a 10-6 campaign in 2011, during which the team reached the Northeast-10 Conference Championship semifinals and was 8-2 in league play.
