DENVER – Junior Eric Law (Centennial, Colo.) led the University of Denver men’s lacrosse team with four goals and one assist as the Pioneers (1-1) claimed a 17-5 victory over Michigan (0-3) in the second game of the 12th Annual DU Face-Off Classic in front of a sell-out crowd of 2,191 at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium on Saturday.The win marks the 300th victory for head coach Bill Tierney, who becomes the fifth head coach to win 300 wins. Battle For Michigan Highlights Men’s Lacrosse Schedule


DETROIT — Three games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago and a home game against the Michigan Wolverines are on the docket as the Titan men’s lacrosse schedule was announced today. Overall, Detroit will have five home games, including visits from MAAC Champion Siena in a rematch from last year’s conference tournament championship, and Marist – who the Titans defeated in the semifinals. University of Michigan Athletics Announces Men's and Women's Lacrosse as Varsity Sports

ANN ARBOR, Mich. — University of Michigan director of athletics Dave Brandon announced today (Wednesday, May 25) the elevation of men’s and women’s lacrosse to varsity status. The men’s program will begin NCAA Division I varsity competition in the 2011-12 academic year, and the women’s program will be ready for NCAA Division I varsity competition in the 2012-13 academic year.
