The, now, world famous chant that you’ve heard EVERYWHERE during the 2014 World Cup has roots with the Navy lacrosse team. Yes, the official song, “I Believe That we Will Win”, for the U.S. soccer support group known as the American Outlaws has adopted the song from a Naval Midshipmen dating back to 1998. WEST POINT, N.Y. – Junior attackman Garrett Thul exploded for a game-high five goals and Army outscored Navy 3-0 in the fourth quarter as the Black Knights clinched a Patriot League Tournament berth with a 9-6 victory over the visiting Midshipmen. ANNAPOLIS, Md. – Senior attackman Taylor Reynolds (Babylon, N.Y.) and senior faceoff specialist Logan West (Berlin, Md.) have been selected by their peers to serve as co-captains for the 2011-2012 Navy men’s lacrosse season. It’s just the 12th time in the 105 years of storied lacrosse history at the Naval Academy in which there have been co-captains and the first since the 2006 campaign, when Jon Birsner and Matt Russell shared duties.
