Field of 16 released for NCAA Division I men’s lacrosse championship



INDIANAPOLIS — The NCAA Division I Men’s Lacrosse Committee announced the field for its championship tournament on Sunday. The 16-team field includes eight conference champions with automatic qualification — America East Conference (Albany), Big East Conference (Syracuse), Colonial Athletic Association (Towson), Eastern College Athletic Conference (Ohio State), The Ivy League (Yale), Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference (Detroit), Northeast Conference (Bryant) and Patriot League (Lehigh). One Week To Go: NCAA Tournament Projections

The NCAA playoff picture is a lot clearer. Last week there were about 10-12 teams fighting for 8 At-Large bids. This week, there are 9. However, all of that can change with conference tournaments this week. Detroit-Michigan Game Officially Cancelled



ANN ARBBOR, Mich. (4/18/2013) — With the weather still unpredictable for today, the Detroit-Michigan men’s lacrosse game at Michigan Stadium that was suspended yesterday was officially cancelled this morning. Detroit led 4-3 with 6:32 left in the second period when the second lightning delay of the game sent the teams to the locker room. With the storm never letting up, the call was made to suspend the game with the hopes of resuming it in the future, but it will now go down as cancelled. Read More…

Bragging Rights On The Line In The Big House As The Titans Face Michigan On Wednesday
