As you very well know by now, the Playing Rules Oversight Panel on September 24th approved new rules changes in men’s lacrosse. Rules such as establishment of a shot clock procedure that replaces the sport’s stall warning. The panel also approved a rule regarding shooting strings. The Playing Rules Oversight Panel on Friday approved rules changes in men’s lacrosse, including the establishment of a shot clock procedure that replaces the sport’s stall warning. In men’s lacrosse, panel members approved a proposal to adjust the stall warning procedure to include a 30-second timeframe for the offensive team to take a shot. Read More…

A ruling that had banned the use of the “motorcycle” grip on faceoffs in men’s lacrosse has been reversed. After reviewing membership feedback, the NCAA Men’s Lacrosse Rules Committee retracted a decision made at its August meeting and decided to allow players to use the grip on faceoffs. WORCESTER, Mass.­ – The College of the Holy Cross has named former Mercer assistant coach and 2009 Hobart graduate Justin Hager as an assistant men’s lacrosse coach, as announced by head coach Jim Morrissey and athletic director Richard M. ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cornell Department of Athletics and Physical Education has announced that senior Rob Pannell has been granted a fifth-year eligibility waiver through the Ivy League Office.
