The Women’s Sports Foundation’s 32nd Annual Salute to Women in Sports was a huge success last night. One of the biggest highlights was USA Soccer's Abby Wambach taking home the Winner of the Sportswoman of the Year Award for a Team Sport. NEW YORK -- Shannon Smith of Northwestern has won the Honda Sports Award as the top woman in college lacrosse. Smith, of West Babylon, N.Y., led the Wildcats to the NCAA championship last month. She scored four goals, including the game-winner, in an 8-7 victory over top-ranked Maryland. She helped Northwestern win its sixth women's lacrosse title in seven years. Keep Reading...
