Top Student Athletes To Compete In NYC Mayor’s Cup Lacrosse All-Star Games

New York City (May 27, 2014) — New York City’s top high school senior boys and girls lacrosse players from the City’s public (PSAL), Catholic (CHSAA) and independent high schools will compete for the title of “Best in the City” at the 2014 NYC Mayor’s Cup Lacrosse All-Star Games on Saturday, May 31, and Sunday, June 1. The girls and boys championship games will take place on Sunday at 1pm and 3pm, respectively. All games will be played at Poly Prep Country Day School in Brooklyn, and admission is free. Read More…

NYC tops Hudson Valley to capture Empire State Cup


SYRACUSE, NY — New York City topped previously undefeated Hudson Valley, 10-8, to win the 2012 Empire State Cup lacrosse event at Central Square Stadium. The game was tied 3-3 in the first half, but New York City pulled away with four straight goals and never looked back. Michael Rastivo, who was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player, led all scorers in the gold medal game with three goals and one assist. Read More…

The inaugural Empire State Cup will be played in Syracuse, New York from July 26-29 2012. The Empire State Cup has been designed to give lacrosse players another opportunity to be seen and recruited playing at the highest level of competition possible in the state of New York.
