Syracuse Orange Alumni Classic Scheduled for Oct. 13 at Carrier Dome

SYRACUSE, N.Y. – The Syracuse men’s lacrosse team will host the third-annual Orange Alumni Classic at the Carrier Dome on Saturday, Oct. 13. The only scrimmage of the Orange’s fall practice season, this year’s event features two games. The first is a “Legend’s Game” beginning at 1:30 p.m. The second match, which will begin at approximately 3 p.m., pits a team of recent SU alums against the 2012-13 Orange squad. Read More…

Coaches Name Orange Big East Favorite


PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Two-time defending conference champion Syracuse has been picked to win the 2012 BIG EAST men’s lacrosse league, according to a vote of the league’s seven head coaches who were not permitted to vote for their own teams. The Orange totaled 34 points and received four of the seven first-place votes to claim the top spot in the preseason coaches’ poll released Thursday, Jan. 19. Read More…

Three Orange Garner Preseason All-America Nods


BALTIMORE – Three members of the Syracuse men’s lacrosse team were selected as preseason All-Americans on Tuesday, Dec. 6. Junior defenseman Brian Megill headlined the Orange’s selections, earning second-team honors. Redshirt senior attackman Tim Desko was named to the third team.
