LEWISBURG, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team clinched its first Patriot League regular season championship as the #18/19 Mountain Hawks downed #9/11 Bucknell 11-7 Friday night at Christy Mathewson-Memorial Stadium. BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Lehigh sophomore goalie Matt Poillon has garnered the Patriot League’s Goalie of the Week award for the second week in a row after stopping 16 of 25 shots sent his way in Saturday’s big win over Villanova. Loyola University Maryland has accepted an invitation to join the Patriot League at the beginning of the 2013-14 academic and athletic year. The Patriot League’s full members are American University, Bucknell University, Colgate University, the College of the Holy Cross, Lafayette College, Lehigh University, the United States Naval Academy, the United States Military Academy, and fellow new addition for 2013 Boston University. BETHLEHEM, Pa. – The Lehigh men’s lacrosse team placed 18 members on the Patriot League Academic Honor Roll, as announced on Tuesday. Junior Baxter Lanius and freshman Klay Heston each posted perfect 4.00 GPAs this spring while five Mountain Hawks earned semester GPAs of 3.50 or higher. Read More…

BETHLEHEM, Pa. – Just one game into his collegiate career, Lehigh freshman goalie Matt Poillon has earned Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league on Monday. Poillon stopped 13-of-17 shots in the season opener at Saint Joseph’s Saturday, helping Lehigh to an 11-4 victory.
