The loss to our rivals was a tough one, but the close decision gave us the confidence that we could beat anyone in our league. Next up would be a Saturday matchup with the Lafayette Leopards. A win would secure a birth into The Patriot League tournament, allowing us to compete for our season’s goal of winning a Patriot League Championship. Saturday’s matchup would give our team an opportunity to get back in the win column, and build momentum towards our important end of season games. Read More…

After getting back in the win column against Holy Cross on Saturday, Sunday marked the beginning of our spring break from classes. The week gave us the opportunity to focus solely on lacrosse and get closer as a team. Also can’t forget the week gave us the opportunity to soak in the rays, as traditionally we have received good weather with the campus all to ourselves over spring break. Most importantly we had two games to focus on over the break, one at home against Binghamton and a highly anticipated affair with the Michigan Wolverines at Citi Field. Read More…

The fame was short lived as we had to reshift our focus on finishing off a solid week of practice. Colgate Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: We Made History

colgate lacrosse, lacrosse playground

Obviously a team never wants their season to end on a loss, but when looking back…what a ride. It would be our job to do just that. With about a month left in summer, the news was announced that Coach Murphy was hired as our new coach. He made sure to call every player, and discuss the coming year. When talking to each senior, Coach Murphy made clear his main goal for his inaugural season: make it the senior’s best one yet.
