Colgate Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: We Made History

By Lacrosse Playground | May 22, 2012 |
Obviously a team never wants their season to end on a loss, but when looking back...what a ride. It would be our job to do just that. With about a month left in summer, the news was announced that Coach Murphy was hired as our new coach. He made sure to call every player, and discuss the coming year. When talking to each senior, Coach Murphy made clear his main goal for his inaugural season: make it the senior’s best one yet. Now standing in our way is a very strong Duke team. They are solid in every facet of the game, but so are we. The trust and belief in one another on this team rivals any, and we plan to work as hard as ever for this game. It will not be easy, but we understand that. By Lacrosse Playground | April 25, 2012 |
Going into the fourth quarter it was tied 6-6. Coach’s message to us in the huddle was, “win this minute, then the next one, and the one after that until there are zeros on the clock!” Because of Rob Grabher’s performance at the X during the second and third quarters, Bucknell came out with three poles on the face-offs and it turned into a hard-fought battle each time. When "Danza Kuduro" came on in the locker room yesterday around 4 pm, it was one of the best feelings any of us have had so far this season.
