Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: #Good2Great

By Lacrosse Playground | April 6, 2012 |
On Thursday night of last week, our travel squad hit the road for Annapolis, with a tough Navy team waiting for us on the other side. We got into our hotel pretty late, so there wasn’t much to do other than go to sleep and rest up for the following day. Reminiscent of my prep school days, Coach Wilson came around and checked everyone in…one of his many versatile roles as an assistant coach. Read More...

By Lacrosse Playground | April 4, 2012 |
Lehigh is having a heck of a season rising to their highest National ranking in school history. Lehigh also has great facilities! We recently had the honor of taking a tour of the Lehigh Men's Lacrosse locker room to see where they strap up and strategize before practice and games. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: Poison Ivy On His Upper Thighs

By Lacrosse Playground | March 30, 2012 |
To all my loyal readers out there, I apologize in advance if this isn’t my most in-depth post of the year. It’s been a busy week for our team (as they all are), and a midterm week for all Lehigh students on top of that. The obligations of being a “student-athlete” are never more demanding than in weeks like this. Studying becomes far more of a time commitment than even lacrosse for most. Since I’m sure no one out there wants to read about what I’ve learned in Corporate Finance, I’ll try my best to fill everyone in on what’s been happening on the field. Read More...

BETHLEHEM, Pa. - The #11/10 Lehigh men’s lacrosse team jumped out to a 5-0 lead and wouldn’t look back in downing Holy Cross, 12-3 on Saturday for its school-record eighth straight win. Junior David DiMaria spearheaded the offense with seven points, including a career-high four goals to go with three assists. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: #RingChasing for Mr. Carr

By Lacrosse Playground | March 23, 2012 |
Excitement has come naturally to the Lehigh lacrosse program as of late. As I mentioned last week, I’ve never seen the kind of energy and enthusiasm from our team that I do now. Guys are learning first hand that winning, unlike losing, is easy to handle, and excitement about Lehigh lacrosse, in turn, continues to compound. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: Hype Train Through Bethlehem

By Lacrosse Playground | March 16, 2012 |
It’s week 7 now, and the hype train continues to run through Bethlehem. With our team coming off a monumental spring break trip, the Yale game on Sunday was an opportunity to keep the momentum going. On the other hand, though, it had the potential to completely derail the buzz surrounding our program with a loss, an outcome a lot of people probably expected for us. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog: Spring Break, Sleep, Chipotle Burritos

By Lacrosse Playground | March 9, 2012 |
Spring Break 2012 – no regrets. Year in and year out, everyone in the college community looks forward to the time in early March when school breaks. Most students head to the tropics. College lacrosse teams have a different agenda, though. This year, our Lehigh team hit the road with no drinks, no girls…nothing but a looming game against the #4 team in the nation: the UNC Tar Heels. Read More...

Game Photos: Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog, Erin Andrews

By Lacrosse Playground | February 24, 2012 |
Not much can be said about our performance on Saturday against a visiting Villanova team. Disappointing, frustrating, embarrassing…all fitting words to describe the outcome of the game. With the amount of excitement and opportunism that flourished in practice last week, to come out and lose the way we did was discouraging to say the least. In discouraging times like these, though, there’s only one thing a team can do…move forward. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog, Game Day

By Lacrosse Playground | February 16, 2012 |
Game day. In the world of collegiate athletics, there’s nothing like it. Saturday was a game day unlike any other for the Lehigh lacrosse team, though. Looking at the opposing sideline and seeing our old coach, lifting partner, and mentor in maroon and white made this weekend’s contest a special one. Read More...

Lehigh Men’s Lacrosse 2012 Player Blog, Ring Chasers

By Lacrosse Playground | February 10, 2012 |
Ring Chasers – the two words that sum up the 2012 Lehigh lacrosse team in a nutshell (for all you Meek Mill fans out there, yes, that’s a reference to “Dream Chasers”). Our mission this year is simple – to win the Patriot League championship. Anything short of that would be an absolute failure in the eyes of the many people involved in this program, especially the guys that strap up every day and go to work on the field. This preseason has been all about taking care of the little things. The hope is that the little things will take care of the big ones come April 29th. Read More...
