Syracuse Tabbed ACC Men’s Lacrosse Preseason Favorite

GREENSBORO, N.C. – In its first year as a member of lacrosse’s most powerful conference, Syracuse has been picked to win the ACC in a vote by the league’s six head coaches, the conference announced Wednesday, Dec. 11. Led by five-time NCAA champion head coach John Desko, the Orange received 28 points in the balloting to edge defending national champion Duke and North Carolina, who tied for second with 27 points apiece. SYRACUSE, N.Y. – No. 5 Syracuse (9-3) had its six-game home winning streak snapped in a 13-12 loss to Hobart (6-6) on Tuesday, April 16 at the Carrier Dome. Alex Love's unassisted goal with 2:13 remaining was the difference, as the Statesmen won the Kraus-Simmons Trophy for just the third time since it started being presented to the Syracuse-Hobart winner in 1986.
