TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men’s lacrosse team scored nine straight goals during the second and third periods en route to a 17-7 win over Coker Saturday afternoon at Pepin Stadium. SAINT LEO, Fla – The University of Tampa men’s lacrosse team overcame a five goal deficit but it wasn’t enough as they fell to Saint Leo 8-7 in overtime Saturday night at University Field. With this win the Lions improve to 2-1 overall and 1-1 in the Deep South Conference, while the Spartans fall to 2-2 overall and 2-1 in conference play. TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa lacrosse team is set to begin its highly anticipated inaugural season on Friday against conference rival Florida Southern College at 7 p.m., at Pepin Stadium. It will be a historic night for the city of Tampa as UT plays it first ever collegiate lacrosse game. City of Tampa Mayor Bob Buckhorn will be on hand as the city welcomes college lacrosse.
