BALTIMORE – The sixth annual Champion® Challenge will take place Jan. 29 – 30, 2011 at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. The event, organized by US Lacrosse, will feature the U.S. men’s national lacrosse team, the U.S. women’s national senior and U19 teams, the University of Notre Dame men’s lacrosse team, the University of Maryland women’s lacrosse team, the University of Virginia women’s lacrosse team, the Jacksonville University (Fla.) women’s lacrosse team and Rollins (Fla.) Game Photos: Team USA Beats Iroquois Nationals 13-11, Take Bowhunter Cup
Team USA won the first-ever Bowhunter Cup, 13-11, at the War Memorial at Oncenter in Syracuse, NY on Saturday.
The Nationals jumped out to a 4-0 lead in the first quarter, but the Americans battled back to tie the score at 6-6 at halftime. With the game deadlocked at 7-7 in the third, Bill McGlone scored three times in the final three minutes of the quarter to put USA ahead for good.
