DETROIT (4/16/2013) — The second edition of the battle between the only two Division I programs in the Great Lakes State will resume on Wednesday as the Detroit Titans head to Ann Arbor to face the Michigan Wolverines under the lights at Michigan Stadium. CHICAGO — The Detroit men’s lacrosse team split a pair of scrimmages on Saturday in the Windy City as the Titans, Bellarmine and Notre Dame got together for the Playing for Peace Catholic Lacrosse Showcase, held at Hales Franciscan High School. DETROIT — Sophomore Joel Matthews (St. Catharines, ON/Holy Cross) scored just one goal on the day, but it made all the difference as Detroit won 8-7 in overtime on Saturday against Marist.
