Because there are no rules or regulations regarding patterns or colors, tournament lacrosse teams often have the greatest flexibility when it comes to their jersey designs. Hopkins grad Michael Doneger blogged from South Beach about his experience in the Bump & Grind tournament last weekend, specifically taking a look at the uniforms of the tourney-winning Pro Athletics team.

Yesterday U.S. Lacrosse announced the final roster for the 2010 U.S. men’s national team. The decision came following this weekend’s final tryout at Stony Brook University. LacrosseAllStars.com recently interviewed LacrosseWear founder Bo Lamon. Lacrosse All Stars asks the uniform manufacturer an array of insightful questions including why he even got involved with this industry and how his company has progressed to become one of the best in the business. It’s clear Bo Lamon still has the lacrosse player in mind.

“My main goals were 1) I wanted to make uniforms that I wanted to play in. They needed to be made for the player. That’s really where the pockets innovation came in. And 2) I wanted to get the company recognized on a national level – that’s something we’re still working towards.”

(Syracuse, NY) – Lacrosse has hit the mainstream. After years of living in the shadows, it’s now front and center in the sports world and growing at exponential rates from the youth level upward. The rapid growth has led to the formation of many new companies, mainly equipment manufacturers and retailers. However a new company has come on the scene and taken a new angle on the lacrosse market – in fashion.

Boathouse Sports, which started as a jacket-maker for rowing teams, has grown to become a major player in the lacrosse world for jackets, warm-ups, and uniforms. And some people may be surprised to find out just how much feedback lacrosse athletes give in determining a final design of Boathouse’s products.
