Former Navy SEAL, Syracuse All-American Rorke Denver Named Keynote Speaker at US Lacrosse Convention

BALTIMORE, Dec. 11, 2014 — US Lacrosse today announced Commander Rorke T. Denver, a 13-year Navy SEAL and current author and actor, as the keynote speaker at the 2015 US Lacrosse Convention, set for Jan. 23-25 in Baltimore. US Lacrosse Partnering With FHSAA on Certification for Girls’ Lacrosse Officials

BALTIMORE, Oct. 14, 2014 — US Lacrosse, the national governing body for men’s and women’s lacrosse, has reached an agreement with the Florida High School Athletic Association (FHSAA) to provide the necessary education and training of women’s lacrosse officials to reach US Lacrosse certification status in time for the 2015 season. US Lacrosse is assisting in this process in response to the mandate approved last month by the FHSAA’s Board of Directors that all girls’ lacrosse officials must have US Lacrosse certification in order receive scholastic game assignments. US Lacrosse Announces 2014 Soft Lacrosse Equipment Grant Recipients

BALTIMORE, Sept. 15, 2014 — US Lacrosse today announced that 126 schools and civic organizations across 32 states and Washington, D.C. have been selected as 2014 Soft Lacrosse Equipment Grant recipients. Each organization will receive modified “soft” lacrosse sticks and balls, as well as instructional guides and DVDs to help support the introduction of the sport in their curriculum. Read More…

US Lacrosse Opens Registration for 2015 Convention in Baltimore

The US Lacrosse Convention is comprised of approximately 150 educational sessions, many of which occur on four indoor demonstration areas surrounded by seating for attendees. The convention’s expo hall features 150 vendors, showcasing the latest lacrosse gear and apparel. US Lacrosse will host its Sports Medicine Symposium and Major League Lacrosse will hold its annual collegiate draft at the convention Jan. 23. The US Lacrosse Fan Fest will open the expo hall and demonstration areas to the public Jan. 24. Brine and Warrior Make Record Equipment Donation to US Lacrosse Foundation

BALTIMORE, August 22, 2014 — The US Lacrosse Foundation received a record equipment donation from Brine, Inc. and Warrior Sports, Inc., exceeding $1,000,000 in retail value. The donated equipment will be distributed through US Lacrosse’s Sport Development department, primarily through the US Lacrosse First Stick program, to deserving and emerging youth lacrosse programs throughout the United States. US Lacrosse Announces 2014 AED Grant Recipients

BALTIMORE, August 6, 2014 — US Lacrosse is providing AED grants to 33 lacrosse organizations across 21 states to subsidize the cost of acquiring automated external defibrillators (AEDs). The grants, which total over $16,000, are made available through US Lacrosse’s partnership with Cardiac Science, a global leader in the manufacturing of AEDs and other cardiology products and services.
