Stage is Set for Saturday Rendezvous Between No. 8 UVa and No. 3 Cornell

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia Cavaliers (5-1) are ranked No. 8 in this week’s USILA coaches poll and No. 9 in this week’s Nike/Inside Lacrosse media poll, and are coming off a home win on Tuesday over Vermont. Next up for the Cavaliers is the Cornell Big Red (4-0), ranked No. 3 in both the coaches and media polls. Cockerton’s Six Goals Lead No. 6 UVa over Mount St. Mary’s, 18-11

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – In severe to moderate rainy conditions, the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers (4-0) used six goals from Mark Cockerton and five points from Rob Emery and Nick O’Reilly to grab an 18-11 triumph over the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (2-2), at the UHall Turf Field on Tuesday evening. Virginia Lacrosse Names McDermott Volunteer Assistant Coach

The haters came out in droves once Maryland announced its move to the B1G. People didn’t understand the meaning behind it. Moving to the B1G means Maryland can finally make money and climb out of debt created by its former Athletic Director Debbie Yow. University of Virginia Lacrosse Renews Partnership With Stylin Strings


As you might recall the dyeing/stringing gurus, Stylin’ Strings, partnered with the Virginia Lacrosse team last Spring. What started as trading emails with head coach Dom Starsia and receiving Virginia’s blessing to use the school’s logos soon grew into an official partnership. Lynchburg Scrimmages UVA in Men’s Lacrosse


Lynchburg College hosted the University of Virginia Thursday night in a men’s lacrosse scrimmage on the College’s Shellenberger Field in front of an estimated crowd of 2,134. The hard-fought game was very even with the Cavaliers finishing ahead 9-5. The Hornets led 5-4 in the early fourth quarter, but Virginia scored the last five tallies. Read More…
