CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Virginia Cavaliers (5-6, 0-2 ACC) are receiving votes in both the USILA coaches and Nike/Inside Lacrosse media polls, marking the first time since March 15, 2004 that UVa is not ranked in the Top 20. Syracuse, Virginia Set For Lacrosse Showdown Friday In The Dome



SYRACUSE, N.Y. – Always one of the most-anticipated games of the college lacrosse season, Syracuse (1-1) and Virginia (4-0) renew their annual rivalry Friday, March 1 at 6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome. The Cavaliers are ranked No. 6 in this week’s USILA Coaches’ Poll and represent SU’s first ranked foe of the 2013 campaign. Cockerton’s Six Goals Lead No. 6 UVa over Mount St. Mary’s, 18-11



CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – In severe to moderate rainy conditions, the No. 6 Virginia Cavaliers (4-0) used six goals from Mark Cockerton and five points from Rob Emery and Nick O’Reilly to grab an 18-11 triumph over the Mount St. Mary’s Mountaineers (2-2), at the UHall Turf Field on Tuesday evening. Virginia Releases 2013 Men’s Lacrosse Schedule

No. 8 Virginia Advances Past No. 12 Princeton to the NCAA Quarterfin​als, 6-5



A fourth quarter goal from Chris Bocklet via Steele Stanwick proved to be the difference as the No. 8 Virginia Cavaliers (12-3) outlasted the No. 12 Princeton Tigers (11-5) on Sunday afternoon during the NCAA First Round, 6-5, inside Klöckner Stadium. The six goals by UVa is the lowest number of scores for the Cavaliers in an NCAA win and the 11 total goals between the two teams tied for the fifth-fewest ever in an NCAA Tournament game, four other games are tied for first with 10 total goals.
