US Lacrosse Names 2013 Women’s World Cup Roster

BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse today announced the 18-player U.S. Women’s National Team that is set to compete in the 2013 Federation of International Lacrosse (FIL) World Cup, July 11-20 in Oshawa, Ontario. The U.S. women’s national team will look to defend its 2009 gold medal and earn its seventh overall world title. The team was selected from a 25-player U.S. women’s national training team roster, which was previously selected from a group of 38 players comprising the 2012-14 U.S. women’s national team. Stetson Lacrosse Hopes to Win Fans in 2013 Inaugural Season

DELAND, Fla. – As one of the oldest team games played in America, it is only appropriate that the inaugural Stetson University women’s lacrosse team will play its first match against a team of players representing some of the original founders of the sport. The first year Hatters program will play against the Haudenosaunee National Team, which represents the united Iroquois tribes of upstate New York, on Saturday evening as a part of the Champion Challenge at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex in Lake Buena Vista. PAC to Introduce Men’s and Women’s Lacrosse

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) Presidents’ Council and Commissioner Joe Onderko are pleased to announce that the sports of men’s and women’s lacrosse will be added as official PAC sports, beginning with the 2014-15 academic year. The addition of men’s and women’s lacrosse increases the number of PAC sponsored sports to 21. The additions were adopted by the PAC Presidents’ Council at their December 5 meeting. Read More…

Siena Women’s Lacrosse Release Schedule

LOUDONVILLE, N.Y. – Siena Women’s Lacrosse Head Coach Andrea Cofrin has released her program’s 2013 schedule. The Saints are scheduled for 15 games this spring including six home dates at Siena Turf Field. “We are excited to get the 2013 season underway,” said Cofrin. “We’ve put a lot of work into this offseason and are ready to see the results this spring.
