NEW HAVEN, Conn. - The Yale University men's lacrosse program announced that Andrew Stimmel has been promoted to the Director of Player Development. In this newly-created role, Stimmel will assist student-athletes in acclimating to their roles on the field, in the classroom and in the community through the creation, analysis and modification of individualized player development plans. He will serve as the program's community service coordinator as well as work in conjunction with Strength & Athletic Training staff to educate and promote overall health and wellness. Read More...

NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Eleven newcomers have joined the 2014 Yale Men’s Lacrosse Team as it prepares to defend its two-year run as Ivy League Tournament Champions. The Class of 2017, which brings much talent and experience, hails from all over New England and Mid-Atlantic states. There are six high school varsity lacrosse captains among the 11. COLLEGE PARK, Md. -- The top-seeded Orange(14-3) continues its quest for its 12th NCAA championship on Saturday, May 18 when it meets Ivy League champion Yale (12-4) at 3 p.m. at Byrd Stadium in the quarterfinal round. It will mark the second postseason meeting between the two schools. The Orange defeated the Bulldogs in the 1992 quarters, 17-8, on its way to an appearance in the national championship game.
