TeamHomeField.com Is More Than A Chic Startup

TeamHomeField.com is one of the startup companies that is being documented in a film by NYC30.com called The Startup. The Startup is a four-chapter video documentary with interactives on a young tech startup trying to make it in New York City. The crew has been following HomeField for the past four months as they develop and grow their web-based video application for sports teams.

The unique part about HomeField is that it is run by former college lacrosse players Joe Yevoli (UVA,Cuse), Nick Romeo (Villanova), Reece Pacheco (Brown), and Dan Spinosa(Brown). HomeField is a tool for players, coaches, and teams to access film easily. Once film has been uploaded online, a team can send and receive film from other teams at the click of a button instead of dealing with grueling shipping.

Here is the brief intro to the documentary. It states that in 2008 95 seed and early stage startups could be found in New York City. In 2009, that number shot up to 150.

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
