Texas has been pumping out talent and sending players to play at the next level for years. A few reasons can be attributed to the prime hotbed of athletes and coaches with east coast roots. Case in point, Cade Saustad. Cade is a 6’4″ defenseman who happens to be coached by Max Bartig and Nick Disimile, former Syracuse and Loyola players respectively. Cade is just entering freshman year and is already an absolute stud. He could certainly work on his left hand, but he’s got the wheels, field awareness and takeaway skills to compensate for those faults. After all, he is only a freshman and he will only get better. Check out the great highlight tape below and judge his skills for yourself.
