Since we are at the end of 2010—where has it gone?—we thought it was appropriate to take stock of the most popular stories from this year. Here at LPG, we did some number crunching to calculate which headlines you, our readers, enjoyed the most.

8. Meet The Salt Shakerz Lacrosse Club
The Salt Shakerz came on to the scene hard this year. The club is a post collegiate traveling team originating out of the New York City metro-area. The Shakerz came together in the fall in 2008 when CJ Greene (Villanova University 00′) and co. began talking about putting a competitive team together of “good guys” both on and off the field in the New York area. It paid off! The team placed high at every tourney they entered this year winning over crowds with their spectacular flare and uniforms. Read More on How They Did It>>>

7. Game Photos from the Ocean City Lacrosse Classic
It’s pretty obvious where laxers go in August…Ocean City. Not only was our staff there to capture the sights and sounds from the OC Tourney, but we even had a team participate in the action. We are pretty sure this post became so popular because this was the weekend LPG debuted the Brine King III gloves and Boathouse uniforms. The uniforms are influenced by the Orlando Magic circa when Shaq played for them. View the LPG Pinstripe Uniforms>>>

6. Collegiate All-Stars vs. Team USA Game Photos
As a precursor to the MLL Draft and 2010 World Games a team of collegiate all-stars played team USA. The collegiate all-stars was made up of players from all over the country at just about every level. Some players included were Connor Martin (Chapman), Brian Phipps (Maryland), Ken Clausen (Virginia), Jim Connolly (UMass) and Michael Kimmel (Hopkins) just to name a few. People were excited to see the post-college players play against the best talent in the world. The college all-stars ended up winning the game 12-11. Team USA looked good nonetheless with flashy jerseys, striped socks and Warrior Burn cleats. View All The Game Photos>>>

5. Cascade’s new CPX-R Helmet
Cascade’s CPXR helmets officially made their debut in the Under Armour All-American games this summer. Both teams wore them and the new design sparked a lot of discussion within the lacrosse community. The form of the shell has a sporty look and comes to a point in the back. Cascade designers drew a lot of inspiration from auto design, which can be seen in the some of the lines in the helmet. The ridge in the back of the helmet does allow for weight to be better balanced from what was more of a front-heavy helmet. Get A closer Look>>>
