Two Penn Grads Drafted by Major League Lacrosse

PHILADELPHIA – A pair of former Penn men’s lacrosse players, Al Kohart and Brett Hughes, were selected during the Major League Lacrosse Supplemental Draft which took place Wednesday, Dec. 14.

Kohart was a ninth-round pick of the Chesapeake Bayhawks, while Hughes was a 17th-round pick of the Denver Outlaws. Both players graduated from Penn last May after leading the Quakers to an 8-7 overall record, a second-place finish in the Ivy League, and the program’s first appearance in the NCAA Championship since 2006.

Hughes ended last year as a first-team All-Ivy selection on defense, while Kohart was a second-team All-Ivy pick in midfield.
