Under Armour Named Official Outfitter Of Loyola University Maryland Athletics


BALTIMORE (Thursday, February 9, 2012) – Loyola University Maryland and Under Armour, Inc. (NYSE:UA) announced today that the Baltimore-based leader in performance apparel, footwear and accessories will become the official outfitter of the Greyhounds beginning with the 2012-2013 seasons.

The multi-year agreement gives Under Armour the right to provide on-field and training gear to each ofthe school’s 18 varsity sports. Additionally, Under Armour will outfit all members of the athletic department, including coaches and staff.

“Under Armour is a world-class brand, and we are thrilled to partner with them,” said Loyola Assistant Vice President/Director of Athletics Jim Paquette. “Their products give our student-athletes a competitive advantage, and this partnership helps strengthen the Loyola athletics brand with consistent, high-performance gearfrom head-to-toe.

“Several of our teams have worked with Under Armour in the past, but this strengthens our relationship with the company as Loyola’s first all-sports agreement where allof our student-athletes will represent Loyola under one brand. Under Armour takes pride not only in being a leader in the industry, but also in the Baltimore and Maryland areas. We believe that is an important part, too, of this agreement, as we work closely with many businesses in our backyard.”

The University’s new department-wide outfitter agreement includes marketing entitlements that will complement the brand’s marketing campaigns through print and on-field presenceat Loyola.
