Beginning in the Fall of 2009 and over the next three seasons, the Danes will be taking to the field in custom purple, yellow and white Maverik Maybach gloves and shoulder/elbow guards.

UAlbany’s players will also have the new Maverik “Vision” head at their disposal with any shaft of their choice from the Maverik arsenal, including the recently released H2 and the infamous Wonder Boy.

Maverik is a top of the line product and the University at Albany is proud to be a wearing the Maverik logo!”

“Scott has a fantastic program and we are excited to begin our partnership with such a competitive and highly visible team,” said John Gagliardi, President and founder of Maverik Lacrosse.

“We are looking forward to working with everyone at UAlbany and will do everything to support Scott and the Danes efforts to bring home a fifth America East Conference championship and progress further in the NCAA Tournament.”

Lacrosse Playground

In 2009, Adam O’Neill, Harry Alford and Thomas Alford launched Lacrosse Playground as the preeminent site for lacrosse gearheads. For years Lacrosse Playground provided lacrosse fans with tutorials and tips on how to string a lacrosse head, up-close looks at the gear the top players used and sneak peeks at equipment and uniforms before they were released. More than 10 years and millions of visits later, Lacrosse Playground has relaunched with a focus on storytelling. Our mission is to provide comprehensive coverage of the latest lacrosse news, share insights into the sports betting and fantasy lacrosse world and showcase the lifestyles and personalities of the sport of lacrosse through articles, videos and podcasts.
