University of Virginia's New Quarterfinal Gear

As teams progress into the NCAA Tournament, they get perks. This is true for the UVA Men’s Lacrosse team. The team received two pairs of Nike cleats for their Quarterfinal game against Cornell this weekend.

The first pair is the Nike Zoom Vapor Carbon Fly with a custom tongue featuring a “V.” The integrated dynamic tongue is for ultimate lockdown and Nike Flywire technology for maximum support and minimal weight. This lightweight cleat has Nike’s smart design elements like Flywire and Zoom Air™.

Flywire is composed of ultra-thin nylon threads that are designed to add the same amount of support as a standard upper but at a fraction of the weight. A Zoom Air™ unit in the midsole offers responsive cushioning. The injected Pebax® frame has a carbon fiber insert for ultimate response and propulsion. That carbon fiber insert gives more support to the lightweight Pebax® to drive your stride.

Players will also be seen wearing this masterpiece. Looks to be a hybrid between Huarache and Alpha Speed.
